The opening lines are a bit of a giveaway, but only if you know the background: “This land is your land/This land is my land.” OK, well, that doesn’t have to be referring to the idea of public ownership of all property. Maybe “The invisible hand of the free market will dictate who is the rightful owner of this land” just didn’t fit into the rhyme scheme. But in fact, Guthrie was a fairly outspoken communist sympathizer. And the song wasn’t written just as a folk song about America and its people. Guthrie specifically wrote it as a rebuttal to the song “God Bless America,” a tune he considered overly patriotic and sappy. He didn’t think it represented average, working-class Americans like himself and their feelings about the government. What gives?? Well its how one interprets the Quran and what verses they are reading, Just note there a lot of Hatred in Violence in the Bible too but again the West has evolved and moved with the times and have skipped some of the Violent Verses that are in the Bible also the Bible has been Revised over the years as time has gone by as we are now in the 21st Century. However the Quran has not changed and revised at all I believe and many are still reading the Violent verses in the Quran though many modern civilized men and woman of the west that have converted to Islam I believe are reading verses that aren't full of Hatred and violence. From My little understanding of the Modern day Muslims they need to Teach Others the right way of what Islam is and Hatred and Violence is not always the answer but allowing men or woman to choose their own path as Allah (God) is the only one who decides who lives or die not man or woman. During Battle of War as anyone knows this Rule may change but again man or woman cannot not and shall not kill another but only the one and Almighty himself. If those that are of the Bible and followed the Bible to the very letter this world would not be the same as you and I would ever think possible, Christians today are not true Christians as they are not fully abiding by the laws of the Bible as those that a truly following the Quran. What we are seen here today is a Clash of the past brought into the 21st Century and this needs to change where the future for all of mankind can prosper an evolve and each individual can continue on their path of enlightenment.
