Child Rape Unpunished!
Category: EDL News Published on Wednesday, 06 February 2013 20:19 Written by Simon North
On January 27th this year, Adil Rashid, an 18-year old man from Birmingham, appeared in Nottingham Crown Court to face charges of having sex with a 13-year old girl. Or, to use its legal definition, to face a charge of rape.
The world was scandalised when, instead of what would normally have been between four and seven years in prison, Judge Michael Stokes handed down a sentence of nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, a two-year probation supervision order and entry on the sex offenders' register for 5 years.
Adil’s defense was that he had been taught in his school that “women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground”, that she had “tempted” him into it, and that he didn’t know having sex with 13-year old girls was illegal. He had, apparently, attended a Muslim school that had “left him ignorant of British law”.
His Honour Judge Michael Stokes, QC, is a very experienced judge with a distinguished career, beginning when he was called to the bar at Gray's Inn in 1971. It is not for us to question such a learned judgment when he stated that he felt that sending Alid to prison would do him more harm than good. As a very experienced judge, he must know better than most of whether prison detention lives up to its aims: retribution, deterrence and rehabilitation.
Judge Stokes, is not known for lenient sentencing; as recent ago as last September he sentenced Sneinton Market rapist Mawawe Karam to 10 years in prison. Adil claimed that he was the victim of a bad upbringing and Judge Stokes believed him.
So Alid Rashid was a victim of Muslim school that had brought him up to think of women as being worthless. A school that had brainwashed him into believing something so patently wrong that it’s hard to believe that it really happened. Judge Stokes believed him, so should we. But what kind of school teaches its students such beliefs? What kind of teacher teaches in such a school? What kind of parent sends their children to schools where teachers teach their students such beliefs? Judge Stokes accepted that Adil Rashid was a victim, a victim of child abuse. Perhaps this a typical case of the abused becoming the abuser?
Voting for the UK Independence Party can lead to having your foster children taken away from you because of your so-called “right wing” politics, but allowing your children to brought up to think that all women are “worthless” is acceptable!?
Adil Rashid has been released under supervision. Will he be able to recover from the perversions that have been drilled into him? What about all the other children in Muslim schools who continue to be taught such evil views? Where are the child welfare services now? Why hasn't an enquiry been launched into the schools that are teaching such things? Why are the teachers, the parents, not being prosecuted?
Or is it OK for some people to abuse their children if it’s done in the name of religion?
What are the potential ramifications for this disgraceful situation? Rapists getting away with a heinous crime, schools left to educate young men on the availability, worthlessness and vulnerability of young girls not from their communities?
What if this kind of precedent enables other sex offenders a "get out of jail card", what if the ensuing anger of any right minded morally guided and law abiding individual turns to vigilante extremism?
Would such people be able to claim ignorance and a lack of education for what they consider to be righteous retribution in the face of a failing judicial system?
If anybody has any information about the sexual predator involved in this case, if you know anything about the school mentioned in this case then please let us know by contacting us at admin@englishdefenceleague.com
